Welcome to Baanpaasaathai, the home of Thai Language. From our website you can find out more about our adult's and children's Thai language lessons as well as our bespoke learning resources to either help support your lessons or for you to learn independently.
We have been teaching Thai since December 2018, when we started with four children in a village hall. With the Covid-19 outbreak, we moved our lessons online to keep our classes going and continue to help children learn their heritage and adults this beautiful and ancient language. Through our online classrooms we now teach nearly 200 children and adults via Zoom. Whether learning ahead of travelling, to communicate with family or to embrace your or a loved-one's heritage, our lessons and resources will be able to help and support you.
บ้านภาษาไทยของเราก่อตั้งและเริ่มสอนภาษาไทยให้กับเด็กๆ เมื่อเดือนธันวาคม ปี พ.ศ. 2561(2018) เราได้ทำการเรียนกันทุกบ่ายวันอาทิตย์ แต่จำเป็นต้องหยุดไปเพราะการระบาดของโควิด-19 ค่ะ ระหว่างนี้เราได้ทำการเรียนและการสอนออนไลน์ ผ่านโปรแกรม Zoom ซึ่งการเรียนออนไลน์เราใช้หลักสูตรของ Learn Thai as a Second Language (TSL) ค่ะ เป็นหลักสูตรที่การจัดทำโดยครูผู้เชี่ยวชาญและคุณครูผู้สอนจากสถาบันภาษาจากประเทศออสเตรเลีย ซึ่งคุณครูผู้สอนที่นั่นยังใช้หลักสูตรนี้สอนภาษาไทยให้กับเด็กไทยที่เกิดต่างประเทศมามากกว่าสิบปีค่ะ
เราเลยได้ศึกษาหลักสูตร และเรียนรู้และนำมาถ่ายทอดให้กับเด็กๆ และผู้ใหญ่ที่ประเทศอังกฤษค่ะ
Meet our tutors
Kruu Ning
Kruu Ning founded Baanpaasaathai in 2018 and has a long history and success rate in teaching the Thai language. She comes from Uttaradit, in the north of Thailand and is now based in Cornwall, England.
Fluent in both Thai and English, Kruu Ning is a qualified nursery practitioner who specializes in multiple approaches to learning, particularly supporting children learning in a second language. Kruu Ning has a Bachelor's degree in Science from Naresuan University, Thailand, and multiple UK qualifications focused on speech, language, communication and early years development.

สวัสดีค่ะ ครูพลอยค่ะ เกิดและโตที่จังหวัดกรุงเทพฯ ประเทศไทย ปัจจุบันอาศัยอยู่ที่ประเทศอังกฤษค่ะ ครูพลอยจบจากคณะครุศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เอกภาษาอังกฤษคู่เทคโนโลยีการศึกษา เคยสอนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษและคอมพิวเตอร์ให้กับเด็กๆ ในโรงเรียนที่ไทย และมีประการณ์การทำงานเป็นนักทรัพยากรบุคคลที่มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และเป็นนักวิจัยด้านการศึกษาที่สถาบันวิจัยเพื่อการพัฒนาประเทศไทย (TDRI) ค่ะ

Hello everyone, I'm Kruu Ploy. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. I currently live in England. I graduated from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, majoring in English and Educational Technology. I have experience teaching English and Computer Sciences in secondary schools in Thailand. I also have experience working as an HR officer at Mahidol University and as an Educational Researcher at the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI).
I love teaching, especially teaching languages and cultures. Because I believe that language is a path that will lead us to many more learning opportunities in the future. In addition to teaching, I also love learning, especially foreign languages. Therefore, I know how to design a well-organised and easy-to-understand language lesson.

สวัสดีค่ะ ชื่อครูปลา ปัจจุบันนี้อาศัยอยู่ที่เชียงใหม่ค่ะ ทำงานเป็น Airbnb Host, Airbnb Management agent และเป็นครูสอนภาษาไทยสำหรับต่างชาติ ต้องบอกว่า by passion ค่ะ เริ่มมากจากลูกๆ (ลูกครึ่งไทย-อังกฤษ) ไม่ยอมพูดภาษาไทยเลย พอถึงจุดนึงเราจะสื่อสารกับลูกได้แค่อังกฤษ มันไม่ได้อารมณ์ 555 เลยตัดสินใจเข้าคลาสเป็นครูสอนภาษาไทย และก็เริ่มสอนลูกๆที่บ้าน และผลลัพท์ที่ได้คือมันดี ลูกยอมพูดไทย และอ่านเขียนได้ ที่นี้ก็อยากให้เด็กๆคนอื่นพูดภาษาไทยได้บ้าง แล้วยิ่งสอนก็ยิ่งตกหลุมรักมากขึ้น ทำให้มาเป็นคุณครูสอนภาษาไทยเต็มตัว เป้าหมาย ครูปลาคิดว่าการที่ทุกคนจะเรียนรู้อะไรได้ดี มันก็จะต้องสนุก และก็เป็นกันเองก่อน อยากให้ห้องเรียนของเรา มีแต่ความสุขและสนุกสนานค่ะ หรือที่เรียกว่า Learn & Play แบบนี้ครูปลาเชื่อว่าน้องๆ จะเข้าใจได้ดีและนำไปใช้ที่บ้านได้จริงๆ ค่ะ

Kru Aof originates from Ratchaburi, a small city near Bangkok, Thailand, but presently lives in Portland, Oregon, USA. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the United States. Nearly a decade, she has cultivated her teaching and tutoring skills on the two continents. In Thailand, she taught Chemistry and Mathematics to students of varying ages, from middle and elementary school to high school and college, dedicating four years to this endeavor. Moreover, she extended her educational impact by serving as a conversation partner and mentor to international college students in the U.S. for five years. Hello! My name is Chompu from Bangkok, Thailand, and I'm inspired, fun, and cheerful. I am thrilled to express my interest in becoming a Thai tutor for foreign students at Baanpaasaathai. From a young age, I immersed myself in an English program, starting in Primary school. This foundation laid the groundwork for my bilingual journey. I furthered my studies in Economics, pursuing a Bilingual program at Chiangmai University. As part of my academic experience, I had the incredible opportunity to be an exchange student in the United States for four months. These experiences not only enhanced my language skills but also broadened my cultural horizons.
Currently, I work for an international company where English is an integral part of my daily life. This exposure has sharpened my communication abilities and deepened my understanding of cross-cultural dynamics. Kruu Bplaa
Kruu Bplaa comes from Chiang Mai. Kruu Bplaa, a native Thai speaker and has great experience, most recently working as a Thai Teacher for international students from English, Chinese and Korean language backgrounds. She also worked at Baan Rak Rian, Chiang Mai Province as a Teaching Manager and runs her own Thai language tutoring service in Thailand for non-native speakers.

Kruu Mod Som comes from Chiang Mai. After graduating her Bachelor degree in Science from Payao University, Kru Mod Som worked as a science teacher in highly regarded secondary schools and colleges in Chiang Mai.
